Dark Sonic

Dark Sonic

C3yoyodesign - DarkSonic

Continuing the DarkStar's lineage, the DarkSonic is 2009-2010 5A Hong Kong Champion Ron Chan's signature model.

The DarkSonic is the DarkStar's new brother, and the signature model of Ron Chan (Chan Kwok San). Comparatively, the DarkSonic has a heavier body and a wider catch zone than its brother. The DarkSonic was built for a 5A champion, but of course, it's well-suited for all styles of string play. The DarkSonic has also packed on a couple extra grams of weight, but it still feels quick and responsive, and the added weight helps you better handle the wider body of the DarkSonic. This new width helps the DarkSonic handle extremely difficult tricks, including horizontal long combos.

One other difference from the DarkStar is the body's edge area has changed to what they call the "Double V bump area," designed to keep the string away from the body. Just another element to show C3's committment to pushing yo-yo design to the limits.
