World 5A Champion, Rafael Matsunaga's signature model, the Barracuda gained popularity when it helped two players take the podium and become world champions. The Bassacuda is based on the Barracuda, but everything has been refined. From the shape to the side face, everything but the rim has been redesigned to be closer to a pure step-straight profile, tinged with a sense of roundness. The result is a soft feeling, and the Bassacuda feels lighter in the hand than its weight would suggest.
Another change from the Barracuda is a slightly wider body, making it a full size yo-yo on the wide end, increasing your hit rates. The name comes from a mixture of the Barracuda and Bassalope, Brock's first signature model when he first joined the CLYW team.
