As if the name were a prediction coming true, the Classic is a great cost-performance model from YoYoJam, well suited for players from beginners to intermediate levels. In recent years the YYJ KickSide, Lyn Fury and Journey have paved the way for beginner string trick yo-yos, but the Classic has especially impressive chops.
The big difference between the Classic and those other plastic yo-yos lies in its low edge. Normally found in more expensive metal yo-yos, the Classic gives you great control and impressive sleep times. The Classic comes with a bind recommended setting at first, making it an excellent step-up model for players advancing to more difficult tricks. Since it uses a rubber O-ring for the response system, aside from string changes there's almost no maintenance necessary.
If you want it to be more responsive or want a beginner model, just adding a little oil to the bearing will make the Classic a tug-response yo-yo. Alsot, if you want to practice more advanced tricks, switch the bearing out for a larger size C bearing for a bind-required response. The Classic is designed to meet you at any level of play.
