Equinox is 2005 4A (off string) World Champion John Narum's signature model. It's the first off string yo-yo to boast a mid-ship metal weight, and it gives a feeling that is new to off string. To put it simply, it's as if the PHENOMizm were adapted for off string play. The added weight brilliantly increases spinning power, and it shines with its long sleeps amongst offstring yo-yos. It's size is similar to the Duncan Hayabusa, a slightly smaller build. The rims are sheathed in polycarbonate instead of rubber, so if dropped the Equinox will bounce straight back up for an easy recovery instead of breaking your flow.
Equinox also features the YoYoJam Solid Spin Axle system, with the same inner anatomy as the PHENOMizm and SFX. Because of this, it can even be used as an oversized 1A yo-yo. Its size makes it difficult to do more complicated tricks, but it makes for a great impact and a bold performance, if that's what you're going for.
