The super wide-bodied model gets a monster renewal!
The super wide Monster gets a new lease on life as the new signature model of 2018 World Champion Evan Nagao. With a body wider than its own diameter, this model stretches the wide trend to a heretical width, about 10mm wider than the average wide yo-yo!
Normally, the wider the body the more difficult it is to hit complicated string tricks, as you just start hitting the catch zone too easily. But there's some merit in that certainty that you're going to nail that catch, we think it stands to create even whole new genre of tricks.
If you have had trouble with hops in the past, worry no more! This is a great model to practice with, and as you get better you can drop into thinner models.
It was a brave move to renew the Monster as such a wide signature model, but Evan expects that someday, this size and weight will be standard, so he's also practicing for the next step in yo-yo design.
