Originally the Cognition, ReCognition has a body made of 7075 aluminum alloy. While the profile is almost unchanged, there's a distinct difference between the two yo-yos, and the monometal version is a full 2 grams lighter. Not to lose out to its older brother, ReCognition features some slight tweaks that retains the bimetal-like stability that Colin demands from his contest tray. As an added bonus, the side face has been simplified to make fingerspin tricks easier.

ReCognition, as its name suggests, is a reissue of the Bimetal Cognition, released one year ago. ​It is remade into a monometal 7075, with rounder rims, a flat hub, and a new weight distribution.​The balance makes this yoyo feel lighter, while maintaining the same power that people desired.​
